A member of the Cardinal Funerals team will always bring your loved one ashes back to you in person, usually within a week after the funeral service has taken place or we will arrange with the cemetery for them to be interred in accordance to the family’s wishes.

Fixed Service Fee: A one-off administration fee of $3,000.plus GST covers our professional expertise for Burials, Cremations, or Repatriations.
Wholesale Pricing: For everything else—coffins, mortuary care, flowers, hearses, celebrants, clergy, order of services, slideshow reflection, transfers, memorial parks, crematoriums and other items families may choose —you pay what we pay.
Total Transparency: There are no hidden costs or mark-ups. We are happy to share original supplier invoices so you can see exactly where your money goes.

This is designed for a complete, respectful service held entirely within your chosen crematorium chapel.

A Note on External Costs
To ensure there are no surprises during an already difficult time, please keep the following in mind:

Cemetery Fees: This does not include the interment of ashes (such as placing them in a niche or garden) or any burial-related fees (opening and closing of a grave)
Direct Coordination: These additional cemetery or crematorium fees can be organised directly through your chosen facility. Your Cardinal Funerals arranger will discuss these with you during your meeting to ensure you have a complete understanding of the final arrangements.

By choosing this option, you remove the immediate pressure of a formal ceremony, allowing your family the time and space to host a private memorial or scatter ashes at a later date.

Professional Service Fees: All arrangements handled by our experienced directors.
Safe Transfer: Moving your loved one into our care (within the Sydney Metro area).

The Essential Coffin: A simple, respectful coffin suitable for cremation.
All Paperwork: Completion of all legal documents, bookings, and permits.
Medical Certificates: All required Doctors' and Cremation Certificates.
Cremation Fees: Specifically at Macarthur Grange Crematorium (Smeaton Grange).
Official Registration: Registration of death with NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages.
Death Certificate: A certified copy for the family/estate.
Doctors Referee: The referee is a specially appointed medical practitioner who has not been involved in the patient's immediate care.
Ashes Collection: Personal return of the ashes to the family.
